VMI Sports Arimistane: An Evidence-Based Review

Arimistane is a single-ingredient supplement by VMI Sports which contains Androsta-3,5-diene-7, 17-dione, possibly the strongest Aromatase Inhibitor (AI) which is still legal…

VMI Arimastane

Androsta-3,5-diene-7, 17-dione, more commonly referred to as Arimistane, is the sole ingredient in VMI’s Arimistane formula.  Often, you’ll find this ingredient mixed PCT products and some Muscle Building supplements as well.  Arimistane, though not particularly well-researched, appears to be a relatively potent “Aromatase Inhibitor“.

Aromatase is the enzyme which catalyzes the conversion of excess Testosterone into Estrogen so blocking it is of interest to just about anyone looking to build muscle and keep estrogen levels in check.  This especially applies to individuals who are (or just finished) running a cycle of any Muscle Building supplement that increases Testosterone.

Although the degree to which different compounds Aromatize (convert into Estrogen) varies significantly, Arimistane makes for a solid addition to just about any post cycle therapy (PCT) regimen.

It’s not necessarily a powerful enough estrogen blocker to be the only thing you use as a PCT if you’re running actual Testosterone, strong prohormones, or prohormones that tend to raise Estrogen to a very high degree, but is definitely worth tossing in your stack.

Arimastane As A Stand-Alone Muscle-Builder

Anything that blocks Estrogen conversion to some degree offers an advantage when it comes to building muscle, but there is no evidence to suggest that Arimistane alone will pack on considerable amounts of muscle by itself.  It’s really more of a PCT/Support ingredient if anything.

Like anything that actually works, Arimistane is potentially at risk of not being around forever.  The U.S. FDA seems much more concerned with creating arbitrary laws than actaully conducting research–in it’s defense, the FDA is super under-funded and already has the collosal task of regulating pharmaceutical drugs–so things tend to get banned even when there isn’t much evidence of harm and millions of people have used that substance without any adverse reports associated with it.

So, Arimistane is legal now and can be found at plenty of retailers, but nothing is set in stone when it comes to dietary ingredients.

The Bottom Line

If you’re looking for ann Arimistane supplement for Post Cycle Therapy purposes, VMI’s Arimistane is a fine option.  There are tons of other products out there which contain Arimistane among other ingredients, but many people prefer to just order single-ingredient supplements and combine them at their own preferred doses.  Arimistane is quite useful as a Post Cycle Therapy agent if you’re coming off any effective Muscle Building Supplement that boost Testosterone. exists to educate the supplement community and seperate the science from the hype.
