Super Male Vitality is a male vitality supplement promoted and sold by Alex Jones on his website, InfoWars.
The site goes into a bunch of nonsense about extraction technology and how Super Male Vitality contains higher concentrations of herbal extracts than other formulas, but at the end of the day it’s just something that’s supposed to increase your libido and provide a little something in the way of “natural” energy. ‘
There are thousands of supplements just like it out there, so is Super Male Vitality special? Let’s take a look…
One of the first warning signs with any supplement is when the manufacturer seems to go through great lengths to keep you from getting a good look at the label. There are many ways to do this, including just not posting it, but the easiest way is just to make it a small image. That way, you may “see” the label, but you can’t really inspect it.
Super Male Vitality Ingredients
If you were to get a good look, you’d see that the doses of individual ingredients are concealed within a proprietary blend, so we’ll never know them, but the ingredients are pretty standard…
Tribulus is an herbal aphrodisiac (it makes you horny) which has been used for thousands of years in traditional medicines across many different cultures. Though once thought to increase Testosterone, studies show that Tribulus’s aphrodisiac properties are non-hormonal. While it definitely doesn’t boost Testosterone, it may improve sexual function and general wellbeing, so it makes sense in the context of Super Male Vitality.
The only thing we don’t know is the dose. Given that Super Male Vitality is just a concentrated blend of extracts, we have no idea how much Tribulus is in there.
Suma Extract contains a group of hormones called Ecdysteroids, which have essentially the same function in insects and plants that androgens (like testosterone) have in humans. Supplement companies like to claim that it can have anabolic effects in humans as well.
In mice, Ecdysteroids have been shown to have some favorable impact on body composition, but it’s not clear whether this was hormonal or whether it would apply to humans. Without any human research, it’s tough to say, but it doesn’t seem likely that Ecdysteroids really do anything.
Unlike Suma, Ashwagandha is actaully quite a useful herb. It’s an adaptogen which basically means it can help the body adapt to stress, both physical and mental. In studies, Ashwagandha has been shown to improve exercise performance, reduce anxiety, decrease stress, and improve overall wellbeing.
In the context of Super Male Vitality, it may help to reduce stress and improve sexual wellbeing, but again, we have no idea how much is even in the formula.
Maca is an aphrodisiac that has also been shown to enhance physical performance and sexual function. It does not work via any hormonal means so it has no impact on Testosterone. That said, it is an effective aphrodisiac and therefore makes sense to include in Super Male Vitality.
Again…we just have no idea how much is in here.
Avena Sativa, otherwise known as Oat Straw, is not well-researched, but the limited research that there is indicates the active compounds, Avenanthramides, have anti-inflammatory properties. This might be useful if you had some sort of joint condition or stiffness, but it’s not really clear why Avena Sativa is in Super Male Vitality.
Tongkat Ali, also known as Longjack, is actually one of the more research-backed ingredients in Super Male Vitality. It’s been shown to improve libido and sexual function in men with low Testosterone. In such situations, it can restore Testosterone levels to normal, but it is not likely to boost Testosterone levels in individuals who are already healthy.
Catuaba is an Amazonian plant that has been used traditionally for general vitality purposes. There isn’t much research on it, so in the context of Super Male Vitality, we’d say it’s pretty speculative. It may or may not work…
Muira Puama is a South American shrub which has been traditionally used as an aphrodisiac and erectile agent, though clinical studies are lacking. It has been shown to improve Erectile Dysfunction status in male subjects, but it’s not clear how healthy individuals would react.
Fulvic Acid supposedly enhance the absorption of the entire formula, but really it’s just a what we call a “buzz” ingredient. That is, an ingredient that’s hot right now but that probably doesn’t really do anything worthwhile. Does it hurt? No, but the formula would be fine without it.
Super Male Vitality Ingredient Takeaway
All of the ingredients in Super Male Vitality can also be found in thousands of other male vitality formulas out there. There is nothing special about this formula whatsoever. It’s just your basic libido-boosting formula. There are about 5000 others on Amazon with the same basic ingredient profile.
The problem with Super Male Vitality is that, because it’s a liquid extract, we have no idea how much of any of the ingredients are in it. The manufacturer claims the extracts are “super concentrated” with “the latest technology” but that’s mostly likely just a bunch of nonsense. The reality is you’re probably better off buying a few of the more effective ingredients seperately and dosing them correctly.
Why gamble on dosing if you don’t have to?
What To Expect With Super Male Vitality
If you’re someone who suffers from low libido, Super Male Vitality may help you feel a bit more lively, but it’s not going to give you loads of energy. It contains a few libido enhancers which may make you feel a few years younger, but the effects are subtle. Furthermore, it might just not work at all since the manufacturer doesn’t tell us how much of each ingredient there is.
Super Male Vitality is safe. None of the ingredients have any trackrecord for causing harm and all of them have been studied atleast enough to establish that they’re safe for human consumption. Don’t take more than the recommended amount of any supplement, ever.
The Bottom Line
Super Male Vitality is basically the same formula as about a thousand other male enhancement formulas out there. It’s nothing more than a standard blend of libido enhancers meant to make you feel a bit more lively and sexually active. You could acheive better results with any of the supplements on our Best Testosterone Boosters list because atleast those are transparently and clinically dosed.
