Olympus has set the bar pretty high for themselves by coming out with some truly cutting-edge products over the year so, naturally, we’ve come to expect great things whenever they put out something new…
Olympus Labs claims K1ngs Blood will:
- Recover Natural Testosterone
- Enhance Libido
- Improve Sexual Function
- Promote Muscle Growth
Needless to say, these are the usual claims attached to most natural test-boosters/PCT supplements, but does K1ngs Blood live up the reputation Olympus has established? Let’s take a look…
K1ngs Blood Ingredients
K1ngs Blood contains several herbal extracts and natural ingredients, making it 100% completely natural. While most people may associated the term “natural” with “weak”, the ingredient profile of K1ngs Blood makes it hands down the best natural PCT we’ve encountered. Let’s get into the science…
Ashwagandha is an Adaptogen, meaning it helps the body adapt to stress (both physical and mental). Unlike most herbal extracts that are alleged to be “adaptogenic”, Ashwagandha has actually been extensively researched in the developed world and has a variety of well-established clinical applications.
It has been shown to reduce Cortisol and promote a favorable hormonal environment overall. In fact, in one study, Ashwagandha was shown to increase testosterone and muscle mass in healthy individuals (not experiencing sexual dysfunction), meaning it’s one of the few herbal supplements that can actually be considered a test-booster as opposed to simply a test-restoration agent.
Of course, the dose used in that study was 600mg, about double what you’ll find in most natural test-boosters or Cortisol-control supplements, but it looks like Olympus is bucking this trend by including a true clinical 600mg dose of KSM-66, the same standardized (trusted) form of Ashwagandha used in the above mentioned study.
We discuss the stress reduction effects of Ashwagandha in further detail in our article: 3 Supplements That Reduce Stress And Are Extremely Safe
Eurycoma Longifolia (EuryGold)
Eurycoma Longifolia, also known as LongJack, is an herbal aphrodisiac and libido enhancer. While not studies have shown that it increases Testosterone in individuals with initially healthy Testosterone levels, it has proven effective for Testosterone restoration. That is, if you’re coming off a cycle and have abnormally low T, Eurycoma Longifolia is quite useful.
It’ll help restore sexual function and promote a favorable hormonal environment.
EuryGold is a standardized extract of Eurycoma Longifolia which is much more likely to contain the same level of active components expressed on the Supplement Facts panel. When it comes to Eurycoma Longifolia–really, when it comes to all herbal ingredients–there’s no guarantee that they actually provide effective doses of active components, but using a brand name extract like EuryGold is a better bet.
Shilajit is generally standardized for Fulvic Acid content. A 2010 study, published in “Andrologia”, found that 200mg/day of Shilajit (containing roughly 55% Fulvic Acid) was able to increase Testosterone in infertile men after 90 days of supplementation.
At this time no research has been conducted in healthy individuals, so we can’t say with any certainty that Fulvic Acid boosts Testosterone outright, but it is almost certainly useful as a Test-restoration agent and is therefore perfect for PCT use.
L-Carnitine is an amino acid with anti-oxidant properties, making it useful for a variety of thing. In the context of K1ngs Blood, it appears Olympus is mainly concerned with the beneficial impact of Carnitine on aspects of sexual function and restoration.
Indeed, Carnitine (as ALCAR) is effective for restoring aspects of sexual function in instances where sexual function is compromised (as would be the case post-cycle). Under different circumstances–in healthy individuals–Carnitine (as L-Carnitine L-Tartrate) has been shown to increase Androgen Receptor activity, effectively pushing Testosterone levels towards the higher end of the normal range.
Olympus is using a clinically effective (1500mg) dose of ALCAR in K1ngs Blood.
It may seem odd to see something like Ginger on the Supplement Facts panel. Yes, it’s the same Ginger you sprinkle on your cookies or whatever. However, Ginger actually possesses some moderately potent anti-inflammatory properties.
Beyond that, and perhaps more pertinent to K1ngs Blood, Ginger has been shown to restore Testosterone and various aspects of sexual function in rats with sexual dysfunction. Of course, there are some differences between rodents and humans, so it can’t be stated with absolute certainty that Ginger is effective for the same thing humans, but it doesn’t hurt.
Olympus has packed a whole gram of Ginger in K1ngs Blood so you’ll definitely be getting alot more than you could possibly hope to attain with the cookie sprinkling method!
Horny Goat Weed
Horny Goat Weed is generally standardized for Icariin content, the primary bioactive component which underlies the potent aphrodisiac effects that Horny Goat Weed is known for. The name pretty much says it all with this one.
Horny Goat Weed, or more specifically Icariin, won’t increase your Testosterone but it is undoubtedly an effective libido enhancer and aphrodisiac. For this reason alone, it’s a great addition to any PCT stack. Sexual dysfunction is the last thing you want to be dealing with post cycle, but it’s an all-to-common occurence.
Horny Goat Weed can definitely help and Olympus has opted to include a whopping 600mg of Horny Goat Weed, standardized to 20% Icariin.
Royal Jelly Extract
Royal Jelly is actually produced by Bees (not JellyFish like in Spongebob) and it’s basically a complete macronutrient source with various micronutrients as well. For some reason, it has been investigated for treatment of sexual dysfunction and infertility and has been shown to improve various aspects of sexaul dysfunction.
One study, which investigated the impact of Royal Jelly supplementation in healthy individuals noted that Royal Jelly appeared to speed up the conversion of DHEA to Testosterone, a presumably favorable impact, especially when it comes to PCTing.
Olympus lists the amount of Royal Jelly Extract at 100mg per serving.
Mucuna Pruriens is generally standardized for L-Dopa, the direct precursor to Dopamine. Supplementation has been shown to restore sexual function and Testosterone levels by varying degrees in infertile men. This gives it obvious benefits for anyone who just ran a cycle of some kind.
Additionally, because L-Dopa can inhibit Prolactin, a hormone which can leaed to higher tha normal Estrogen levels in men, if elevated. By suppressing it, L-Dopa can potentially help keep Estrogen levels in check throughout your post-cycle. An excellent addition to K1ngs Blood, for sure.
Indole-3-Carbinol (I3C) is found mostly in cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, brussel sprouts, kale, etc), but has become relatively popular as a dietary supplement for its potential to alter estrogen metabolism.
It hasn’t been studied as extensively as some of the other ingredients in the K1ngs Blood formula, but the research that does exist suggests I3C can reduce the conversion of Testosterone to Estrogen.
It’s not going to be as effective as something like Arimastane, but it doesn’t hurt!
This is something that would certainly be useful for anyone who just ran a cycle and is concerned about Estrogen rebound.
K1ngs Blood Ingredient Takeaway
The first thing to note with K1ngs Blood is that it’s a 100% all natural PCT supplement, so it contains no synthetic ingredients such as SARMs or AIs. If you’re coming off prohormones or juice, you should definitely get those things, but K1ngs Blood absolutely has what it takes to help restore Testosterone and keep Estrogen in check to some degree. Every ingredient is research-backed (for the most part) and clinically dosed, making it the best natural PCT formula we’ve seen.
Is K1ngs Blood Safe?
Yes, absolutely. In fact, if you’re coming off a cycle, it’s unsafe NOT to take it. Every ingredient in K1ngs Blood is naturally occurring and most of them have been researched extensively at this point and have well-established safety profiles.
Olympus Labs: A Truly Innovative Brand
Perhaps the most interesting quality about Olympus Labs is that it continues to innovate on existing lines while simultaneously coming out with new products more often than even the bigger players in the industry.
K1ngs Blood is an entirely new product which, by the way, is probably the most well-formulated natural PCT Supplement we’ve ever seen, but Olympus is constantly evolving it’s formulas, making improvements, and really focusing on what consumers wants.
Too many supplement companies just dish out the same products, or slight variations, and expect to keep up. It’s simply not possible in an industry so competitive and over-saturated. Shout out to Olympus Labs for staying relevant and thriving in rapidly changing industry.
As a consumer, this is a brand to follow…
Where To Buy
K1ngs Blood is not currently available to as wide a range of retailers as many other Olympus Labs products, indicating a possible shift in their business strategy…or perhaps Olympus is just taking it’s time. Anyway, you’ll find K1ngs Blood at:
If you know of any other retailers, or are a retailer of K1ngs Blood who would like to be added to this list, let us know in the comments below.
The Bottom Line
If you’re looking for a natural Testosterone restoration or Post Cycle Therapy (PCT) supplement, no need to look any further. K1ngs Blood is hands down the best one your going to find.
It’s a must have for anyone coming off any sort of cycle and, although Olympus is marketing it as more of a PCT, it’s better than most other natural “test-boosters”.
Of course, the most likely individuals to really benefit from K1ngs Blood are those who are using it for PCT purposes or suffer from some sort of Test deficiency or sexual dysfunction.
As far as completely natural PCT Supplements go, K1ngs Blood is no doubt the best. If, however, you’re running a cycle that requires something stronger than what can be accomplished with an “all-natural” approach, check out our Best Post Cycle Therapy Supplements list.
