Agmatine is an activator of Endothelial Nitric Oxide Synthase (eNOS), the enzyme responsible for catalyzing the production of Nitric Oxide in Endothelial cells. For this reason, it has become extremely popular in pre-workout supplements as a pump-enhancing ingredient. While limited human research exists at this time, the preliminary evidence is quite in favor of Agmatine as a replacement for ingredients like Arginine (which doesn’t work).
MAN Sports has included 500mg of Agmatine Sulfate in each serving of Pump Powder. This is toward the lower end of average as far as most pump pre-workouts are considered.
Glycerol, like Agmatine, has seen a recent uptrend in popularity. Unlike Agmatine, however, there does exist a fair amount of research on Glycerol in humans.
Glycerol is an osmolyte, meaning it can regulate the amount of fluid in cells. Supplementation is an effective means of increasing the amount of water in cells, thereby promoting a state of hyper-hydration which may manifest in some pretty noticeable pumps.

Although not necessarily the focus in the case of Pump Powder, Citrulline Malate has also been shown to reduce muscle soreness associated with exercise, making it useful as a recovery-aid as well.
Pump Powder contains 3000mg of Citrulline Malate (1:1) per serving, meaning about two servings yields a clinical dose.
Is Pump Powder Safe?
Pump Powder is extremely safe due to the absence of stimulants. Even at multiple servings, there is nothing to worry about. Too much at one time may result in some minor stomach issues but those can easily be circumvented by not exceeding the recommended dose all at once.
The Bottom Line
If you’re chasing the pump and only the pump, MAN Sports Pump Powder is a fine choice. Depending on what type of exericse you’re doing, you may also notice some increased muscular endurance and reduced soreness, but that’s not necessarily the primary purpose of the formula.
