AI Sports Stoked XT: An Evidence-Based Review

Stoked XT is a Testosterone Booster by AI Sports Nutrition, a brand which has been around for quite some time, but has been relatively quiet the past couple years.  According to AI’s website, Stoked XT is far more than your average natural test-booster and promises a whole host of additional benefits…

AI Sports Stoked XT

Stoked XT isn’t just meant to increase Testosterone.  In fact, AI Sports claims it will “change the way you train” by:

  • Increase Testosterone
  • Provide “Volumizing Pumps”
  • Reduce Estrogen
  • Drop Water Weight
  • Enhance Libido
  • Boost Endurance (In The Bedroom? Gym?)

This list of claims is a bit more extensive than what we’re used to seeing with Natural Testosterone Boosters, but the question is:  Does Stoked XT have what it takes to back up this long list of claims?  Let’s take a look at the ingredients, the science behind them, and the dosing of each in order to get a better idea what you can expect with Stoked XT…

Stoked XT Ingredients

Many of the ingredients found in Stoked XT can be found in plenty of other Natural Testosterone Boosters, but the formula as a whole is still somewhat unique.

Carnitine is an amino acid with anti-oxidant properties, making it useful for a variety of things.  Among these is the potential for enhancing sexual function.

Indeed, Carnitine (as ALCAR) is effective for restoring aspects of sexual function in instances where sexual function is compromised (as would be the case post-cycle).

However, with only 350mg of ALCAR per serving, Stoked XT doesn’t exactly contain a clinical dose.

Diindolylmethane (DIM) is a byproduct created during the digestion of Indole-3-Carbinol, a compound found in vegetables such as Broccoli.

300mg of DIM daily for 14 days has been shown to produce anti-estrogenic effects, but under different circumstances, DIM has shown the opposite—meaning it actually has the capacity to increase Estrogen.  How is this possible?  Well…

DIM appears to increase the level of 2-hydroxyestrogens (“weak Estrogen”), relative to the other types, 16a-hydroxyestrogens and 4-hydroxyestrogens (“strong Estrogens”), the result of which is less of an “estrogen-like” effect, even though total Estrogen may be the same (or even increased).

It’s all about what type of Estrogen is being targeted…

Horny Goat Weed is generally standardized for Icariin content, the primary bioactive component which underlies the potent aphrodisiac effects that Horny Goat Weed is known for.  The name pretty much says it all with this one.

Horny Goat Weed, or more specifically Icariin, won’t increase your Testosterone but it is undoubtedly an effective libido enhancer and aphrodisiac.  For this reason alone, it’s a great addition to any PCT stack.  Sexual dysfunction is the last thing you want to be dealing with post cycle, but it’s an all-to-common occurence.

Stoked XT contains 250mg of Horny Goat Weed Extract standardized to contain 10% Icariin.

Safed Musli is an Indian herb which has traditionally been used as an aphrodisiac and remedy for sexual dysfunction.

A 2011 study, published in “Andrologia”, found that mice fed Safed Musli experienced improved erectile function on par with low dose Testosterone treatment.

No studies have directly tested the effects of Safed Musli on testosterone, but a 2009 study noted increased prostatic weigh in mice fed 200mg/kg/day for 30 days, indicative of increased Testosterone.

Unfortuantely, this study did not measure serum Testosterone, so it can’t be definitively stated that the results were due to increased Testosterone.

Due to the lack of human studies, Safed Musli still has a long way to go before it can be considered an effective test-booster, but the preliminary evidence suggests that, at the very least, it may enhance libido and improve sexual health.  So, in the context of Stoked XT, it makes sense.

Dandelion Root

Dandelion has historically been used as a diuretic (a substance that makes you urinate), and thus, has made it’s way into detox and water-loss supplements.  AI Sports positions Dandelion Root as something of a definition-enhancing supplement—the idea being that elimination of water will make you look more defined and vascular.

However, as with any diuretic, as soon as you drink a bunch of water again, you’re back to your old self.  It’s not a long-term solution for weight-loss or definition.

Turmeric Root

Turmeric has been used quite extensively throughout various systems of Traditional Medicine as a general anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, and to improve general cardiovascular health.

Indeed, certain Turmeric Extracts have been shown to reduce joint pain and improve symptoms of arthritis, but as with any extract, quality matters.  Really, it’s the active components of Turmeric such as Curcumin which possess these beneficial properties, so ideally we’d like to see a standardized extract or just straight Curcumin.

If joint support is the goal here, it would appear that AI Sports is cutting some corners with Stoked XT by using ordinary Turmeric Extract.

AstraGin is a patented combinatin of Panax notoginseng and Astragalus membrenaceus which is alleged—by the company that makes it, NuLiv Science—to enhance absorption of other nutrients and support general intestinal health.

Unfortunately, although AstraGin is used by a ton of supplement companies these days, the Research section of the NuLivScience site is conspicuously sparce.  In fact, we can’t locate a single study on AstraGin indicating that it actaully does enhance absorption.

Boron is an essential trace mineral which fulfills a variety of distinct physiological functions.  Given it’s widespread application throughout the human body and high bioavailability, Boron supplementation has been investigated for it’s effects on steroid hormones.

One study showed that just under 12mg of elemental Boron was able to increase serum Testosterone levels and decrease serum Estrogen levels in healthy volunteers.

However, a later study which sought to determine if this Boron-induced Testosterone increase was significant enough to increase muscle mass and strength, found that Boron supplementation had no influence on muscle mass or strength.

So, in the context of Stoked XT, Boron may provide a slight edge when it comes to maximizing Test levels, but nothing too drastic.

Stoked XT Ingredient Takeaway

Stoked XT contains several ingredients you might expect to find in a Natural Testosterone Booster.  Some of them may encourage optimal (healthy) Testosterone levels, but none have been shown to increaes Testosterone to the point that muscle protein synthesis is accelerated and rapid muscle growth occurs.

This is the primary issue with most supplements marketed as Testosterone Boosters…they just don’t do what you want them to (help you pack on muscle).

When it comes to libido enhancement, however, Stoked XT may verywell be effective.

Is Stoked XT Safe?

Yes, Stoked is safe.  All of the ingredients have been used in tons of other Testosterone Boosters and have well-established safety profiles.  Nothing to worry about with this formula…except whether it will do anything for you, of course.

Where To Buy Stoked XT

Stoked XT is available at:

Given AI Sports’ reputation and connections in the supplement industry, we’d expect to see Stoked XT available at a much wider range of retailers as time goes on.  Eiether that, or AI Sports agrees that Amazon Is Becoming The Best Place To Buy Supplements.  Who knows?

The Bottom Line

Stoked XT may subtly increase your natural Testosterone production, but not enough to pack on pounds of lean mass, unless of course, you have abnormally low Testosterone levels to begin with.  If that’s the case, it may be quite useful.
