VitalPeak XT: An Evidence-Based Review

VitalPeak XT is a natural male enhancement formula which is designed to boost libido, improve sexual function, and increase overall wellbeing.  It is intended specifically for Men, although it doesn’t contain any hormonal ingredients and could theoretically be safe for Women as well.

VitalPeak XT Ingredients

VitalPeak XT contains several ingredients that can be found in many other herbal testosterone boosters and libido enhancers.  Some of them are effective and some are ineffective…

Tongkat Ali

Tongkat Ali, otherwise known as Longjack, has been used traditionally as a libido enhancer for quite some time and research indicates it is effective, particularly in men with abnormally low libidos.  Although commonly included in test-boosters, it is actually not effective at increasing Testosterone, except in those with initially low levels.  In those situations, it acts to restore Testosterone and therefore may be an effective treatment option for older men with declining Testosterone.

VitalPeak XT contains 400mg of Tongkat Ali, a clinically effective dose.

Maca

Maca is an herbal libido/performance enhancer which has been used for thousands of years throughout many cultures.  Research confirms that it works, but not hormonally, meaning it won’t influence Testosterone levels.

It is, however, an effective libido enhancer and has been shown to improve exercise performance.

Unfortunately, VitalPeak XT contains only 250mg of Maca, with no known standardization, making it difficult to determine how effective it really is in this case.

L-Arginine

L-Arginine is an amino acid that serves as a precursor to Nitric Oxide.  Unfortuantely, supplemntal Arginine is an ineffective means of boosting Nitric Oxide because it is rapid degraded by the enzyme Arginase.

Citrulline would be a more effective option, though it is more expensive, so the makers of VitalPeak XT likely opted for the cheaper option.  It’s just too bad that the cheaper option is also pretty ineffective.

With only 250mg of Arginine, VitalPeak XT won’t do much in the way of boosting Nitric Oxide levels.

Ginseng

Ginseng is one of the most commonly utilized herbs in Traditional Chinese Medicine, mostly as a general tonic and well-being enhancer.  It may be an effective libido booster in individuals with low libido, but with only 125mg per serving, VitalPeak XT leave something to be desired.

Additional Ingredients

  • Saraparilla
  • Pumpkin Seed Powder
  • Muira Puama
  • Oat Straw
  • Nettle
  • Cayenne Pepper
  • Astragalus
  • Catuaba
  • Licorice
  • Tribulus
  • Orchis
  • Oyster Extract
  • Boron

The additional ingredients found in VitalPeak XT are the same ingredients found in many other herbal male enhancement formulas.  Some of them may have some science behind them, but most of them are just hype.

The Bottom Line

VitalPeak XT may enhance libido and improve sexual performance, but that’s almost entirely due to Tongkat Ali.  The rest of the ingredients are either under-dosed or ineffective.  For this reason, it would be a lot more cost effective to simply purchase some Tongkat Ali (we recommend LJ100).
