Core ISO Is Core Nutritionals’ pure Whey Isolate protein powder which is similar to the approach we’ve seen by such brands as Blackstone Labs, while some other brands like ANS have gone the opposite route with protein powders like N-Pro…FIND IT HERE
Whey Isolate is defined as at least 90% protein by weight. This gives Isolate an obvious advantage over less pure form of protein, but due to the further processing that is required to produce Isolate it tends to be more expensive. Although there are many “Whey Isolate only” supplements out there, we have seen a trend recently of brands releasing Whey Isolate/Concentrate mixes and claiming that a combination is better. This isn’t the case. Whey Isolate beats Whey Concentrate every time.
There may certainly be advantages to consuming different sources of protein such as Whey/Casein, but when it comes to Whey protein, Isolate is the “Whey” to go (pun intended).
Whey Protein is quickly digested so it is ideal for times when quickly getting amino acids into the bloodstream is top-priority, such as post-workout or first thing in the morning.
The Bottom Line
Core ISO is certainly worth a shot for anyone looking for a pure Isolate protein powder from a highly reputable brand.
